Mission offers a wide variety of homes for sale. You can find mobile homes all the way up to Mission Luxury homes. There are many established neighbourhoods close to great schools and local amenities as well as a very robust new housing market expanding mostly north of Cherry Ave. Mission is one of the most affordable cities in the Fraser Valley when it comes to home purchases. In 2009 there were 731 Mission home sales with the average sale price being $384,889.00 and 78 days on the market. In 2010 there were 586 home sales with an average sale price of $395,782.00 and 68 days spent on the market. A decrease of 20% but much better returns to the home sellers and in a shorter period of time.
There are a wide variety of Mission townhomes. Whether you are looking for an age restricted gated complex or a family friendly townhouse Mission offers the entire spectrum. In 2009 there were 63 sales Mission townhome sales for an average sale price of $237,784 and 152 days on the market. 2010 saw Mission townhome sales decrease to 50 but the average sale price jump to $249,008 and nearly 50% less days on the market at 81 days.
The Mission condo market saw a 40% increase in sales in 2010 from 2009. This can be related to the affordability factor of condos and the new lending rules that made mortgage qualification more difficult. 2009 there were 26 condo sales while there were 42 in 2010. The average sale price in 2009 was $188,601 and took 85 days on average to sell. In 2010 the average sale price was $191,170 and took 107 days to sell.
